Slight imperfections and paint touch-up.
- To repair slight imperfections on a raw mantle, it's best to apply a good-quality acrylic sealer designed to harden the Micro-Rock®.

- To touch up a previously painted mantle, wet the chip with water and apply gypsum sealant. Allow to dry, then sand with 600+ grade paper and reapply acrylic latex paint.
- For faux-finishes, if you have a small scratch, simply use the finish color bottle by applying it directly to the damaged area and remove any excess immediately with a cloth or similar, so that there is no paint on the "clear", which would make it too dark. Apply "clear" afterwards. Always keep paint touch-up bottles cap-side down.
